We see this is marketed as a top-notch card for 1080p 60fps gaming. This brings the question, is more always better?
Based on what I can find and some personal experience, going from 30 to 60 frames per second does improve my scores in shooters, but the gains do start to fall off past 75 frames per second, in fact, some people won't even notice the difference.
So generally speaking, if you play games competitively or professionally, you would love the higher frame rates and refresh rates such as 144Hz. However, for a person who plays the odd game here and there, a decent setup that can reach 60fps in most games is all that is required.
If you have a screen smaller than 27 inches, 1080p is also more than enough fidelity.
